Applying

Applications go through IRK under the offer for foreign-language studies. The PLN 85 fee is paid per programme and refunded only if the programme does not run, if you overpay or if your payment arrives after the deadline. Your diploma is reviewed by the faculty committee for English-taught programmes.

Indian documents need legalisation or an apostille and NAWA recognition (see the FAQ). Start early: some UWM servers were not reachable from outside Poland when we checked, and the medicine and vet pages give little detail in English.

Our view

Olsztyn is calm and cheap, but UWM's English offer is narrow and its information for foreigners is patchy. For medicine, compare it with the better-documented medical universities on our MBBS page before you decide.

What are UWM Olsztyn fees for Indian students?

In the university's tables Medicine costs about PLN 63,000 a year and Veterinary Medicine about PLN 44,000. Bachelor's and master's programmes cost PLN 10,000–13,600 a year, but two UWM pages give different amounts for some of them, so confirm before paying.

Does UWM accept a medium of instruction letter instead of IELTS?

Its programme pages say a medium of instruction statement is accepted as proof of B2 English. Without a certificate or such a statement the application is not accepted.

What recognition do Indian applicants need at UWM?

For a master's, check your degree in the NAWA Kwalifikator; if it needs individual recognition, apply through NAWA's SYRENA system and upload the final NAWA statement. Bachelor's applicants need NAWA confirmation of eligibility.

When does UWM decide on applications?

Some programmes recruit in several rounds; Food Technology and Human Nutrition had a round open in October 2026. UWM warns that decisions can come less than a month before classes and that you cannot arrive after classes start.

Is UWM Medicine NMC-compliant for Indian students?

Check it against the NMC 2021 rules before you apply: at least 54 months of study, a 12-month internship in the same university and a licence to practise in Poland. See our page on NMC rules for Poland.
