Admission
Unlike several Polish medical schools, Jagiellonian does not rank applicants on school marks. Everyone sits the same online exam, so your Class 12 percentage matters only for eligibility. Prepare as for a competitive exam: about 120 places attract applicants from many countries.
The timeline for the 2027/28 MD intake is published on the medical school's application page. Check it in December, because the exam window is earlier than at most Polish universities.

NMC checklist
- Six years in English: meets the NMC minimum duration and language rule.
- Ask how the sixth-year clinical training is certified, since the NMC requires a 12-month internship at the same institution.
- To be licensed in Poland you need the LEK, a postgraduate internship and a Polish-language exam. Start Polish early.
- Qualify NEET before you apply.
Our view
A prestigious name in a student city that is cheaper than Warsaw, at about €2,800 a year less than WUM. The exam-only admission is fair to strong students from any board, but it gives no advantage for high Class 12 marks.
