A six-year budget
NAWA's Study in Poland site suggests a monthly budget of PLN 1,500–2,000 including a dorm place, food, transport and insurance. For a medical student in a bigger city, plan on the upper end. Over six years:
- Living costs at PLN 2,000 a month for 72 months: PLN 144,000, about ₹35 lakh.
- Visa, residence permits, insurance, books and travel home: allow another ₹9.7 lakh.
- A margin of 10–15% for fee rises and currency moves.
So, at Łódź for example: ₹95 lakh in tuition plus about ₹44 lakh in living and other costs, before the margin.
Paying and loans
Most schools take two instalments a year; the first is due before your visa appointment, because the admission letter for the visa usually comes after payment. Indian banks lend for MBBS abroad; see education loan for Poland.
