Studying in Gdańsk for Indian Students: Universities, Dorm Rents in Rupees and Life by the Sea

Gdańsk is a Baltic port that forms the Tricity with Sopot and Gdynia, about a million people in all. It has three universities on this site, and the Medical University of Gdańsk has trained more of the Indian doctors who passed the FMGE after Poland than any other Polish school.

Dorms and rent

Gdańsk Tech charges PLN 550–860 a month for a dorm place, about ₹13,300 to ₹20,800. Private rents in the Tricity are high in summer because of tourism, so sign a year-long contract before July if you are not in a dorm.

Getting around

The SKM commuter train links Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia, and trams and buses run in each city. Gdańsk airport is connected to the centre by train.
