Pre-Medical Courses in Poland for Indian Students: Where, What They Cost and Who Needs One
Three Polish medical universities run one-year courses in English for students who want to apply to medicine but need more science or English: Łódź, Warsaw and Gdańsk. They help, but none of the official pages we read promises a place on the MD.
A premed year costs about half a year of MD tuition plus a year of living. It makes sense if it turns a likely rejection into a real chance at a good university. If your PCB marks are strong and your English is good, prepare for the entrance exam yourself and save the year.
Pre-medical courses in Poland: Frequently Asked Questions
Who should take a premed course in Poland?
Students with weak biology or chemistry, those who did not take one of these subjects in Class 12, and those whose English is not yet good enough for an entrance exam in English. Strong PCB students can apply to the MD directly.
Does premed replace NEET?
No. NEET-UG is an Indian requirement for practising in India and has nothing to do with Polish premed. Qualify NEET before you start the MD.
When does the Łódź PREMED run?
From 16 November 2026 to 30 June 2027 for this year; applications closed on 7 September 2026. It runs only if at least ten students enrol.
